THere is one tiny end of a leaf broke off on top but cannot tell unless looped.The cameo could use a good cleaning The coral has some natural holes in the back fine on front CLICK  CLICK

JUST IN 325.00 154MC This is a RARE CAMEO MADE IN THE CAVES OF FRANCE.IT is done in the drips of a boy and girl on swing.The setting is silver not marked but tested.The size is 1 by 1 1/4 .Has a halmark on the bottom of the bezel.From around 1880.I have had one like this before.They are very rare  CLICK  CLICK Basically, a matrix (mold) was carved intaglio to give the proper shape or form to material introduced into it. The matrices were made from papier mache-and were placed upon short posts in places where water was dripping from the ceiling. After a number of years, they were filled with the lime and minerals in the water, and at long last, the cameo were formed. A finishing touch-up to the carving was done to reach their final beauty, producing a genuine Antique cameo of priceless value.

135.00  147mc This is a RARE GEORGIAN SUPHIDE CAMEO OF VENUS AND CUPID.She is pouring the nectar of love to him.On the back is paper with French writing barely seen.The age may be 1700's.The size is 1 1/8 by 1 1/4.Would make a good ring or pin.Easy to set as it is flat.There is some bubbling of paint inside but not that noticeable unless really looking.Great condition for 300 years old.Very rare and collectible.Notice the muscles in the body.CLICK

145.00  142mc This is an EARLY PLASTIC OR CELLULOID CAMEO SET IN BRASS.It is very large at 2 1/8 by 2 1/2.Has a c cup pin on the back.The back is very tarnished and I did not clean it.May clean up with a brass cleaner.The setting is neat with a bow on the bottom.I think this is Psyche because of the small butterfly on her shoulder but may be the water Nymph Clytie.I normally do not buy this type of cameo but have never seen this one before and she is very impressive looking in person.From around 1900-1910.CLICKCLICK

295.00 132MC This is a FINE BLACK AND WHITE GLASS CAMEO OF MOSES I BELIEVE.Pate De verreThe white head is glued onto the black base.The base may be onyx.The cameo is 13/8 by 17/8.Nice and long.The plaque size is  3 3/4 by 4 1/8.From around 1860.Museum quality and very rare.I think it is Moses because of the sprigs on top of his head.It was a very common practice to do this type of cameo in Victorian times.CLICKCLICKCLICK

Mr Willam B Darbee made this of his mother 2 years after her passing.Her name was Sarah Isabella Kellam.She was born on March 19th 1845 and died Sept 3 1875.The setting is 14 kt rose gold not marked but tested.has an old timey safety catch on pin with fold down bail.Dated 1877 on the back.The size is  1 by 1 1/8.An exqusite pin from the Victorian era. It is signed on the back but very hard to read. Has the t bar and a early safety catch.There are a few natural grain lines on the front right bottom in the stone.I believe it to be one piece carved down but my be a glue on as I see some shiny stuff around the edge of face,Not 100% sure but lovely.The color is pink rose.The size is  1 7/8 by 2 1/8.Lots of gold and the frame is made by a master goldsmith. 495.00 110s This is a MUSEUM QUALITY ONE PIECE BANDED AGATE CAMEO OF A BACCANTE.The setting is 14 kt white and yellow gold with seed pearls.The bale moves around and hides.Someone has added a large bale the swivels but I do not think this is gold.You can easily have it removed.This is one piece carved down not a glue on and not laser.The age is 1920.The size is 11/4 by 1.The cameo is 5/8 by 7/8.No chips,lines or nicks.The setting is fabulous very lacey and has leaves and the pearl in the white gold band and then the rest is yellow gold.CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK

1211L 495.00 This is a FINE RIBBON OF 3 WHITE LAVA CAMEOS.They are museum quality.There is Flora,Baccante and Ceres.The purple ribbon looks to be hand made.The cameos are set in metal but the gold circles on the back look to be gold painted paper glued on.The cameos are 2 by  1 3/4.The whole piece is 1 foot long.It hangs or you could take the cameos and have them set.A Grand Tour item from around 1870.Very high relief.There is filigree metal on the bottom of the cameos and on each end of the ribbon.An unusual piece I have had in my own collection for 10 years.
